Welcome to Zale Eye Center! The philosophy of John Read, our founder is embodied in our mission statement:
We promise to consistently provide superior ocular care in order to maximize your ocular health. We will continually improve our expertise and use only the most advanced procedures. At Zale Eye Center, we uphold an unwritten contract with the patient to achieve success. We are confident that our records are recognized and proven successful. We will do all that is necessary to influence patients to take control of their health. We make this assurance because eye care is rested in confidence and service.
Douglas A. Zale, M.D.
Ophthalmologist
Dr. Zale was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University and Indiana School of Medicine. Dr. Zale interned at St. Vincent's Hospital and completed a residence in Ophthalmology at Indiana University. In 1990 Dr. Zale joined Dr. John Read and then in 1991 took over the practice upon Dr. Read's retirement. Since taking over the practice, Dr. Zale has taken over the practice of Dr. Hugo Steinitz, as well as The Carmody Ophthalmology and Optical Center.
